TThe departmental director of police for the West region, Commissioner Jacques Ader, proceeded this Saturday, February 7th, with the reopening of the police sub-station at the Airport Crossroads.
The departmental director of police for the West Department, Commissioner Jacques Ader, presided over the reopening of the Carrefour de l’Aéroport police station this Saturday, February 7. Two years ago, this station had been attacked and set on fire by criminals from the Viv Ansanm coalition on March 4, 2024. This reopening marks a turning point in the process of reclaiming territories that had fallen into the hands of criminal groups. It comes as law enforcement is in the midst of an offensive against gang strongholds.
“Life is slowly returning to normal,” Commissioner Jacques Ader told the journalists present. “Our presence here demonstrates the determination of law enforcement, particularly the police. I commend the efforts of the high command in working towards restoring peace in the country,” he continued.
According to Commissioner Jacques Ader, the reopening of this police station sends a clear message to the criminals who are disrupting the country’s progress. “The game is over. The offensive will continue. We commend the courage of the police officers from all units who fought to allow us to proceed with this reopening today. We ask the population to support their police force in the reconquest of our country,” declared the high-ranking officer of the Haitian National Police (PNH).
The political crisis, the rumors of a coup d’état… have slowed the progress of the security forces, regrets Mario Andrésol.
