The Haitian National Police (PNH) continues its operations to secure the territory. This Saturday, March 7, 2026, an operation conducted by law enforcement in the town of Mazerre resulted in the deaths of three armed individuals and the seizure of several pieces of equipment.
A security operation that turns into a confrontation
The incident occurred around 12:30 p.m. A team of investigators from the Northern Departmental Service of the Judicial Police (SDPJ/Nord) was on site to assist with a surveying operation. The officers were escorting Mr. Adoram St. Fleurant and surveyor Fedenel Jemelus to ensure the smooth progress of the work in this sensitive area of the Quartier-Morin commune.
Upon their arrival in Mazerre, the police officers were met with heavy gunfire from heavily armed individuals.
