The US military announces the start of the blockade of Iranian ports on Monday at 2:00 PM GMT

The US military will begin a blockade of Iranian ports starting Monday at 2:00 PM GMT, the US Central Command (Centcom) announced, in the absence of an agreement to end the Middle East conflict.

“This blockade will be applied impartially to vessels of all nationalities entering or leaving Iranian ports and coastal areas, including Iranian ports located in the Arabian Gulf (the name used by the US administration to refer to the Gulf) and the Gulf of Oman,” Centcom stated in a press release.
