The National Police of Haiti (PNH), through the Anti-Kidnapping Unit (CCE) and the Directorate of General Intelligence (DRG), facilitated the release on Tuesday, April 7, 2026, of a one-year-old girl who had been kidnapped by her nanny on April 5. Located in the Damien/Bon Repos area, the suspect abandoned the child while fleeing to Trou Sable. The little girl was handed over safe and sound to her parents. The suspect is actively being sought, and an investigation is ongoing, the PNH reports.
