Oil: the American barrel goes back over 100 dollars, boosted by concerns about the truce in Iran

The price of American oil rose above 100 dollars on Thursday due to doubts about the stability of the ceasefire between Iran and the United States and a Strait of Hormuz that remains largely paralyzed.

The price of American crude oil rose above 100 dollars on Thursday due to doubts about the strength of the ceasefire between Iran and the United States and a Strait of Hormuz that remains largely paralyzed.

After having plummeted on Wednesday to end the session at 94.41 dollars, the West Texas Intermediate (WTI) barrel for May delivery rebounded by 5.83% to 99.91 dollars around 1:05 PM GMT on Thursday, after briefly exceeding the 100-dollar mark. The North Sea Brent barrel for June delivery rose 3.67% to 98.23 dollars.
