The Minister of Foreign Affairs and Worship, Raina Forbin, met with religious leaders in Léogâne on Saturday, April 4, 2026, as part of the preparations for a national conference dedicated to peace.
Organized at the Léogâne Town Hall, this meeting is part of a government initiative aimed at mobilizing the different religious denominations around a common discourse in favor of social cohesion.
During the discussions, the minister invited the religious leaders to play an active role in promoting peace, emphasizing their influence within communities. She also stressed the need to build an inclusive action plan, capable of taking into account local realities as well as the challenges facing the country.
The religious representatives present, for their part, shared their expectations and reflections, in a setting described as participatory and constructive.
