On the occasion of the National Day of the Haitian Women’s Movement, celebrated each April 3, several women’s organizations organized a symbolic march on Thursday, April 2, 2026, in the commune of Delmas.

Carried notably by Fanm Angaje pou Ayiti, this mobilization is part of the 40th anniversary of this emblematic date, marking the commitment of Haitian women to justice, equality, and democracy.

The march began around 10 a.m. in front of the Catholic Church of Perpetual Help, before heading to the offices of the Ministry for the Condition of Women and Women’s Rights, in Delmas 83.

Through this initiative, the participants denounced persistent injustices and demanded real equality between women and men.
