EDH defends the reliability of prepaid meters

In a statement dated March 30, 2026, Électricité d’Haïti (EDH) assured that the prepaid meters installed comply with international technical standards. The concerns expressed by users stem from a change in the billing method based on actual consumption, which is now fully visible and controllable by each user, the institution indicates. The latter announces the strengthening of customer support, training on the use of meters, and additional checks with its partners in order to consolidate subscriber trust.
