Toussaint Louverture High School and IHECE win the National Genius in Financial Education

The Toussaint Louverture High School and the Institute of Higher Commercial and Economic Studies (IHECE) won the first edition of the National Genius in Financial Education (GNEF) on Thursday, March 19, 2026, at the Karibe Hotel.Organized on the occasion of Global Money Week 2026 (GMW 26), the GNEF, initiated by the Bank of the Republic of Haiti (BRH), brought together 21 educational institutions divided into two categories: school and university. At the end of the finals, IHECE was crowned champion in the university category, while Toussaint Louverture High School triumphed in the school category.

The competition followed training sessions provided by the BRH to the participants, which began on March 6. In total, 14 regular schools, including students from Secondary II onwards, and 7 higher education institutions took part in the competition. Early in the morning, the organizers conducted the draw to form the groups in the category.
