The Higher Council for Wages calls for a postponement of the textile sector strike

Meeting with the government, represented by Minister of Social Affairs and Labour Marc-Élie Nelson, the Higher Wage Council (CSS) asked textile unions and security guards to suspend the strike planned for April 13, 14, and 15, 2026. During this meeting, the government expressed its commitment to quickly publish the eighth report on minimum wages and to support the CSS in producing the ninth report before the end of the fiscal year, in a context marked by rising petroleum product prices. The CSS stated that it is counting on the collaboration of all stakeholders to foster genuine social dialogue in the interest of workers and the stability of the sectors concerned.
