Seven dead, a sub-police station and a police vehicle set on fire in Seguin

An attack by criminal groups in Seguin on the evening of Monday, April 13, resulted in the deaths of seven people and the burning of the local police station and a police vehicle. The mayor of Marigot, René Danneau, confirmed the news during an interview on Magik 9’s morning show on Tuesday, April 14, 2026.

“The victims were executed. The criminals then set fire to the bodies,” Danneau told Magik 9, calling on Prime Minister Alix Didier Fils-Aimé and the Director General of the Haitian National Police (PNH) to take measures to rescue the population and repel the criminals.
