The FAd’H order the return of troops on detachment within 72 hours.

A restructuring measure aimed at refocusing the army on its national defense missions and putting an end to assignments considered non-compliant.

The Command of the Armed Forces of Haiti (FAd’H) issued, on March 23, 2026, a memorandum requiring all detached military personnel to return to their barracks within 72 hours. This decision is part of an internal reorganization process aimed at strengthening the operational capabilities of the military institution.

According to the information provided, 81 military personnel are currently assigned to close protection missions for former members of the Presidential Transitional Council, ministers, senior officials, and other public figures. These assignments, now considered non-compliant with the current regulatory framework, will be canceled at the end of the set deadline.

The memorandum specifies that all mission orders related to close protection will become void at the end of the 72 hours.
