Resignation of the Director General of the Ministry of Culture and Communication

The Director General of the Ministry of Culture and Communication, Jean Gardy Denis, submitted his resignation in a letter dated April 13th, addressed to Prime Minister Alix Didier Fils-Aimé. He justified his decision by explaining that his values ​​and long-term vision, particularly regarding fundamental issues such as identity, the funding of cultural activities beyond the confines of Port-au-Prince, and the protection of cultural property, do not align with the Ministry’s traditional strategic direction. Jean Gardy Denis had held this position at the Ministry of Culture and Communication since August 1, 2024.
