Washington targets the financial networks of ‘Viv Ansanm’ and ‘Gran Grif’, classified as terrorist organizations.
The United States is offering up to 3 million dollars for any information that helps dismantle the financial networks of the Haitian armed groups “Viv Ansanm” and “Gran Grif.”
The announcement was made by the State Department as part of the Rewards for Justice (RFJ) program, which also provides protective measures, including the possible relocation of informants.
According to Washington, these two groups were officially designated in May 2025 as Foreign Terrorist Organizations (FTO) and Specially Designated Global Terrorists (SDGT), due to their involvement in major violence in Haiti.
Created in 2023, the “Viv Ansanm” coalition brings together several federations of gangs operating in Port-au-Prince. It is accused of carrying out coordinated attacks against public institutions, including police stations, prisons, hospitals, and strategic infrastructure.
