Elections in Haiti: 282 parties approved, 38 still pending

The CEP grants a deadline until April 2 to complete the files.

The Provisional Electoral Council (CEP) has approved 282 political parties out of the 320 that submitted their files to participate in the upcoming elections in Haiti.

In a publication dated March 26, 2026, the electoral institution specifies that 38 parties have not yet obtained their approval, but have an additional period until April 2 to regularize their situation.

This decision is part of the implementation of Article 144 of the electoral decree of December 1, 2025, as well as the current electoral calendar.

The CEP indicates that the complete list of approved parties is available on its official platforms.
