The Director General of the Haitian National Police (PNH) held a meeting this Friday, February 6, with the High Command, the departmental directors, and the Commander of the Gang Suppression Force (FRG), General Godfrey Otunge. The purpose of this meeting was to define all the necessary measures to strengthen security throughout the country this weekend. This security reinforcement is being implemented in anticipation of February 7, the date marking the end of the transitional presidential council’s (CPT) mandate.

The senior defense attaché and the military attaché from the Embassy recently met with the Minister of Defense, Jean-Michel Moïse, with the aim of strengthening bilateral cooperation in support of Haiti’s stability.
