Prime Minister Fils-Aime warns his ministers against any deviation in the service of political interests.

The ceremony dedicated to the official presentation of the new members of the ministerial cabinet took place this Tuesday, March 3, 2026, at the Reception Villa.

The ceremony for the official presentation of the new members of the cabinet took place this Tuesday, March 3, 2026, at the State Reception Villa. “In accordance with the principles of the State, this step marks a turning point in national life. It symbolizes both the continuity of the State and the renewed commitment to serving the Haitian people,” according to government officials.

The ceremony was held in the presence of the members of the new cabinet and outgoing members of the government, representatives of the judiciary, representatives of the major state bodies, representatives of the diplomatic and consular corps, representatives of international organizations, representatives of the security forces, and representatives of political parties and civil society organizations.

“Today is an important moment for the nation. We are here to install the new government at a time when the country needs stability and unity more than ever,” declared Prime Minister Fils-Aimé in the opening remarks of his address.

“Today’s ceremony is not simply a change of government.” It is preferably the result of a collective commitment stemming from the national pact for stability and the holding of elections. This pact is proof that when the country is in danger, we can put aside our differences to save what is most important: Haiti,” stated the head of the executive branch.

“With the national pact, we have committed to forming an impartial, technically skilled, and effective cabinet. The ministers of this new government were chosen based on competence, integrity, and a sense of responsibility,” Fils-Aimé maintained.

“The time for fine words is over. The time for action is now,” asserted Alix Didier Fils-Aimé, who called on the new ministers to demonstrate their commitment to saving the country every day. “Woe to a minister or director general who, instead of serving the people, puts themselves at the service of a political sector or structure,” warned the head of government, explaining to the parties that signed the national pact that they do not need to be represented in the government to serve the country.

This new government, according to Fils-Aimé, has three priorities. “The first priority remains security. We will continue to strengthen the security forces. The second priority is economic and social recovery. We cannot always talk about dignity if the people live in poverty. The third priority is the organization of free and inclusive elections. We will organize honest and credible elections to restore democratic legitimacy and lasting stability,” the Prime Minister enumerated.

The head of government respectfully paid tribute to the outgoing ministers. “In difficult times, you served the country with courage, a sense of duty, and a sense of responsibility.” “The nation is grateful to you,” declared Alix Didier Fils-Aimé, addressing the outgoing members of his cabinet.

Following a special cabinet meeting held on Monday, March 2, 2026, at the Prime Minister’s office, the government carried out a cabinet reshuffle, which had been anticipated since the signing of the National Pact for Stability and the Organization of Elections. Eleven new ministers and two secretaries of state joined the government. Five ministers were reappointed.
