Milot tragedy: seven people arrested in connection with the investigation

The Haitian National Police (PNH) announced on Monday, April 13, 2026, the arrest of seven individuals as part of the investigation into the deadly stampede that occurred on Saturday, April 11, at Citadelle Henri, which claimed the lives of 25 people.

In a statement released by the Police Communications Directorate (DICOP), the institution specified that these arrests were carried out on Sunday, April 12, in Milot by the intervention team of the Northern Departmental Judicial Police Service (SDPJ/Nord), acting under the instructions of the government commissioner at the Cap-Haïtien Court of First Instance, Eno Zéphyrin.

According to the information provided, the people arrested are five officers of the Milot Municipal Police: Jhon Coxllee alias Myson, Genové Octavien, Altidor Arly, Louis Max Andy and Césaire Wilner Billy, as well as two employees of the Institute for the Protection of National Heritage (ISPAN), Wilfrid César and Valmyr Techlin, both assigned to the North.
