Pope Leo XIV stated on Monday that he had “no intention of entering into a debate” with Donald Trump, in response to criticism from the US president.
“I am not a politician, I have no intention of entering into a debate with him. The message remains the same: to promote peace,” the American pope told reporters aboard the plane taking him to Algeria.
