US President Donald Trump on Tuesday sharply criticized Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni for refusing to involve her country in the Iran nuclear deal, saying he was “shocked” and disappointed by her lack of “courage.”
“Do they (the Italians) appreciate the fact that your president isn’t helping us get that oil? Do they like it? I can’t imagine. I’m shocked. I thought she had courage, but I was wrong,” Trump said in an interview with the Italian daily Corriere della Sera.
