Delmas: drivers’ mobilization disrupts public transportation

A protest movement by van and bus drivers was observed this Monday, April 6, 2026, in several areas of the commune of Delmas, notably at Delmas 33 and on the Frères Road.

According to the information gathered, public transport traffic is heavily disrupted. Passengers were forced to get off some vehicles still in circulation.

This movement comes in a context of protest following the increase in fuel prices announced by the government. Several drivers express their disagreement with this measure.

By midday, the presence of public transport vehicles remained limited on several routes, particularly between Frères Road and the vicinity of the Police Academy.
