2026 World Cup: 1 million gourdes for a song dedicated to Haiti

As the 2026 FIFA World Cup approaches, the Ministry of Culture and Communication is launching a major national song contest aimed at celebrating Haiti through music.

Open to Haitians living in the country and in the diaspora, this contest revolves around the theme “AYITI ALASO,” an invitation to express passion and national pride tied to football.

Participants are invited to submit an original song lasting no more than one minute. The works must be recorded and sent before midnight on April 15, 2026, via the ministry’s official website.

The contest winner will receive a prize of one million gourdes, a reward intended to encourage artistic creativity and unite the population around this global sporting event.
